Welcome to Shelby County Arts Fest!

The 10th annual Shelby County Arts Fest is returning to the Public Square in downtown Shelbyville, Indiana!

The Gallery in downtown Shelbyville next to Three Sisters Bookstore

Come join us in September 2012 in downtown Shelbyville as we celebrate the visual and performing arts with exhibits, crafts, storytelling, concerts,  juried art and more!

This year’s month-long arts extravaganza will include our autumn Farmers Market where you can pick up tree-ripened apples, squash, mums and even a pumpkin or two.  Vendors will be onsite selling handmade jewelry, art, wood crafts, etc.  Also, local artists will demonstrate their talent and, if watching isn’t enough, try your hand at an art class in the Gallery and a variety of techniques will be taught at an “artist trading card” class – dates to be announced.

And we’re just getting started!  Come down, have a bite to eat – did we mention the pineapple whip? – listen to some great music and maybe even take part in a theater workshop or a coffee roasting class.  We’ll even have a custom festival blend available for purchase…. h’mmm… which will no doubt go just right with a world-famous Linnie’s cake donut!

Also, check our our juried Adult Art Competition and our Student Art Competition on display in the Warble Gallery at the Grover Museum.  You too will be amazed when you see the wonderful talent on display – and many works will be for sale.  Can you say holiday shopping anyone?  We know you can!

And don’t forget to check out our local merchants – such as Three Sisters Bookstore - for great meals and event discounts.  And books…. so many wonderful books!

So come down to the Public Square in September 2012 – you’ll be glad you did!
